Several weeks ago, Clinton Senkow, ShipChain’s VP of Partnerships attended several events in both Maine and New York City to raise awareness for ShipChain’s global mission which is building a unified platform to track and trace all kinds of goods along the supply chain.

The first stop on the trip brought Clinton to Maine where he spoke about  blockchain technology  and ShipChain’s mission at an event geared towards economic development professionals from around North America. Economic development professionals are the people responsible for attracting, retaining, and providing businesses with the right tools to succeed in their area. Most cities and towns around the world or districts have economic development departments which foster partnerships between businesses of all industries and sizes.

Senkow was able to connect with several professionals at the event and discuss possible partnerships with airports, cities, and other logistics companies from around North America.

He then presented at the prestigious Marine Money event in New York City which attracts the top shipping and finance professionals from around the world. The breakout session he presented at was organized by the Maritime Global Technologies Innovation Centre (insert link here for the centre). The event was a success and Senkow had this to say,  “it was great to bring more awareness to what we’re doing at ShipChain to some of the biggest ship owners from around the world. We are solving problems in an industry that is the lifeblood of the global economy and it’s nice to spread the word about what we are building.”

The next night Senkow participated and presented at another event dubbed the Startup Showcase put on by the Maritime Global Technologies Innovation Centre which brought together leaders of innovative companies, industry, and the tech community; ShipChain was honoured to be selected to present its solution to a crowd of around 100 people.

As you can see the team is hard at work building and discussing partnerships and bringing awareness at several events around the world.
